Sahiwal, August 14, 2021: FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL) recently inaugurated a call centre at its Sahiwal plant, to facilitate dairy farmers and provide them with a touch point for answering queries pertaining to dairy related matters.

The Farmer Helpline (03041111804) developed in this regard will be operational from Monday to Friday, from noon till 2 p.m. It will be managed by dairy experts available to guide existing and potential dairy farmers in pursuit of business excellence.

While inaugurating the call centre, the Chief Guest, Ali Bahadur Qazi – Commissioner Sahiwal Division said, “Pakistan is the fourth largest milk producer in the world and produces about 50 million tonnes of milk on an annual basis. However, there is an utmost need for an ever-increasing number of dairy farmers to be educated in terms following the industry’s SOPs and being able to maximum yield so that the dairy sector’s contribution to the economy is enhanced. As a result of this, we will eventually be able to export our dairy produce and bolster the national exchequer. FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Ltd.’s state-of-the-art plants have not just been able to cater to the consumers, but the company’s value system focuses on nurturing its relationship with farmers as well which has been extended in the form of this call centre. We are certain that more farmers will be inducted in a formal dairy net across the country which will have a significant impact on the economy at large.”

The helpline is now operational at a national level, with experts well-versed in local languages other than Urdu, to help farmers at a grassroots level.

Furthermore, the experts also aim to link the farmers with relevant departments and will go as far as deploying experts for detailed visits and also provide financial assistance where needed.
