Safety and health of our people is our topmost priority. We at FrieslandCampina are committed to a safe working environment in which everyone involved in our value chain, from our employees to our farmers to our business partners, take responsibility for their own safety and that of others. Road Safety is a key concern globally, as well as for Pakistan. In fact, the UN has declared 2021-2030 as the Decade of Action for Road Safety and aims to reduce road traffic deaths and injuries by 50 per cent over the next ten years. As we provide nutrition to our consumers across Pakistan daily, our employees and vehicles spend more and more time on the road. Keeping our people safe on the roads and protecting the communities in which we operate is a priority. We want our employees to be safe, whether they are in a factory or on the road.

In line with our safety-first culture, FrieslandCampina Pakistan recently organized a Road Safety and Defensive Driving Training Session at our Sahiwal plant, facilitated by the Motorway Police and National Highway Authority. Our employees, including field teams and drivers, received training on defensive driving. The objective of these trainings is to reiterate our commitment to safety and help our people prevent possible collisions caused by negligence of other drivers and unfavorable weather conditions.

Safety always comes first for our people and our products where our leadership demonstrates commitment to safety and our employees, contractors, and visitors take accountability for Safety for themselves and others.
